This blog thread contains writings about the criminal justice system from a Christian perspective. As a former inmate I have a unique perspective about crime and punishment. I also have my opinions about how the system might be improved by including the Christian concepts of reconciliation and restoration into a system that is all about punitive justice. The prison system in Michigan is full of waste, mismanagement and outdated practices that have been disproved by rigorous evaluation. It is a $2 Billion drain on the states budget with little to show for the expense. These articles are my attempt to bring some of the issues to the public’s attention.
